~Top Skins~The Skins on the "turtledeck" of the fuselage are applied using ratchet straps and lots of tweaking left and right, fore and aft, etc...then you finally drilled that first hole into your skin (alluminum) and into the bulkhead...200 holes, clekos, deburring, trimming, and riveting, and viola! Well, viola took about 30 hours for both skins....You may want two people for this one...(I wish I had waited for help!)
The straps are wrapped with foam to keep them from slipping down the conically shaped fuselage
This is while I was inside the fuselage drilling and cleko'ing from the inside..boy is it hot in there!
This is the aft top skin, just before riveting
Its done!
