~N197AB FLIES!!!~

Ok..the day has come...3 years, 4 months, 2 moves, Army Basic Training, lots of headaches, shipping parts back, drilled fingers, and a few "choice" words, N197AB is officially an airplane.

Early morning roll out of the hanger.  Believe it or not, it's only about 5:30 AM in this picture...the sun is up early in the desert!

What is it about RV's and first flights...I didn't want a crowd, but the word got out quick!  Lots of help and support, though.

Ahh...a finished Steve Davis panel and interior ready for a first flight.  The hole on the right is for a G-Meter..don't think I'll need one for a while.  The cord in the 12V power socket is for a hand held radio in the event my wiring on the panel GPS/COMM was substandard!  Didn't need it though!  Cool!

Last chance to make sure I got everything right...did I remember that bolt that I lost???

Whoops...found something..forgot the baffle material from the cowl.  This special 100 MPH tape should do the trick...They use this stuff on the Space Shuttle..just so happens you can get it at Home Depot.

Family pic before the flight.  I am incredibly nervous right here, and I think Ashley is so nervous she can't get her hand out of her mouth!  Pam seemed ok...she was assured the life insurance policy was in place.
