~Gear, Wheels, and Brakes~

The wings had to be mounted to drill the new landing gear mounts. (the one that came with the kit were not matched.)  Ed, a local A&P measures the landing gear distance from the wing.  On the right you can see a "false spar" that is in place for support of the landing gear sockets.  It is simply two 5/8" pieces of particle board sandwiched together.

This is the Cleveland Brakes installation.  The large metal plate is the support pieces for the wheel pants.  I will show the attachment when I get there.   Sam was right, there are many ways to get this stuff upside down and backwards.

These are the fairings that I will use on my gearlegs.  The long things are the gear leg fairings, which replace the alluminum ones that come with the kit.   The medical implant looking devices are intersection fairings that will blend the gear fairngs to the fueselage and the wheel pants.  Installation pictures will follow.  You can get these from the Team Rocket fellas.
